ILLiad for Other Libraries - First Time Users

By clicking the button at the bottom of this page, you, as a representative of your library, acknowledge and agree to all of the terms and conditions below.
When you are ready to create your library's account, click the "New Library Registration For ILLiad" button at the bottom of this page.

Your library must register in our ILLiad system before you can request items from us.
Registration has three purposes:

  1. Entering your library's information into the ILLiad system means you will not have to supply the information again when making future requests.
  2. Having your e-mail and physical addresses on file with Interlibrary Loan enables us to notify you promptly and deliver materials to you electronically or via mail or courier service.
  3. By specifying a username and password, you will have secure access to information about your requests.

During registration, you will choose a username and password. You will use this username and password when logging on to Kent State University Libraries' ILLiad system in the future.

Username

If your library is an OCLC member, please use your OCLC Symbol as your username. Otherwise, choose anything you like. We recommend using a short form of your library's name. (For example, if your library is Book County Main Library, you might choose MAINBOOK as a username.)

Password

Choose anything you like. We recommend that you follow good security practice and choose a password that is different from those you use to access other systems.
ILLiad will encrypt your password, so it will remain secure. Only you will know your password. If you forget this password, our Interlibrary Loan staff can reset it for you. Please understand that the password reset process is not automatic, and during non-work hours there may be a delay before we can reset your password.

WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

By pressing this button you acknowledge and agree to all of the terms and conditions above. Please pay particular attention to the copyright statement. Click the "New Library Registration for ILLiad" button to continue.
